We are looking for a Railway Construction Manager (civil engineering) for Trafikverket.

This is a consulting assignment. The stationing location is Gothenburg.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of the construction manager in railway projects involves supporting the project manager in planning, controlling, and executing investment projects with a focus on buildability, safety, and working environment. The construction manager assists project management with contractual and technical construction issues, participates in knowledge transfer, and can support other departments within the region as needed.

Responsibilities

Support the project manager in planning, controlling, and executing railway projects

Contribute with perspectives on buildability, safety, and working environment

Assist project management with contractual and technical construction issues

Participate in the design of tasks in consultation with project managers for various projects

Assist other departments within the Western Region Investment as needed

Transfer knowledge to employees about the tasks performed by the resource consultant

Participate in kick-off meetings and other relevant meetings

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Experience from working in project groups where coordination has been important.

Driver's license (B).

At least 3 years of work experience as a construction manager or in a supervisory role such as production manager, site manager, or equivalent in construction projects within the relevant technical area (Railway Construction Manager). Work experience should not be older than 10 years.

Familiarity with laws, regulations, standards, and guidelines within the relevant area.

You must have completed BASÄSKYDD training.

At least 3 years of work experience in execution contracts within railway projects.

Experience in a supervisory role such as production manager, site manager, or equivalent from at least 1 railway project involving level crossing installations or another project deemed equivalent by Trafikverket.

Meritorious

You have completed the “ALEX system course for Trafikverket.
